These terms cover your use of Expando, a Mac application published by High5 Labs LLC ("we", "us"), a North Carolina limited liability company at 4030 Wake Forest Road, Ste 349, Raleigh, NC 27609.
Your license
Buying Expando gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on Macs you own or control, for as long as you like. It is not a subscription and does not expire. You may not redistribute the app, resell it, or share your license key.
The trial
Expando runs for fourteen days with everything enabled and nothing to sign up for. After that it needs a license key to keep expanding. Your snippets remain yours and remain readable on disk whether or not you buy.
Updates
Your license covers updates within the major version you bought. A future major version may be a separate paid upgrade. We will not disable a version you already have.
Refunds
Thirty days, no questions asked. Write to support@expando.app or ask Paddle, who processed the payment.
Payment
Paddle.com Market Limited is the merchant of record for purchases and handles payment, invoicing and tax. Their terms apply to the transaction itself.
Scripts and AI snippets
Expando can run shell commands, AppleScripts and JavaScripts that you write or import, and can send an instruction you write to an AI provider using your own API key. Both are off until you turn them on. You are responsible for what your scripts do and for any charges your provider bills you.
Warranty and liability
Expando is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Expando is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Expando keeps daily backups and a copy of every version it replaces, and it never deletes a snippet outright. Even so, keep your own backups of anything you cannot lose.
Ending it
You can stop using Expando at any time; export your snippets first if you want them elsewhere. We may end your license if you redistribute the app or share your key, and will refund you if we do.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
